The Targa is a cross between an autotest and what most people imagine when you say “rally” to them. A course is laid out, with a defined route, and the navigator has to direct the driver around the course. The aim is to follow the correct route, in the quickest possible time.
Targa rallies are generally held in the daytime, on private land, with twists and turns attempting to keep the overall speed low.
When you enter a Targa, check the regulations for which licence is needed – some can be competed on the basic RS Clubman Licence, but others you need to step up to the next licence level.
